3. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must satisfy one of the following (for the Directorate of Education / NDMC as specified) as on the cut-off date:

Senior Secondary (12th) or equivalent with at least 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR Senior Secondary with 45% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education per NCTE regulations (2002).

OR Senior Secondary with 50% + 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). 

OR Senior Secondary with 50% + 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Must have passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). 

Must have passed Hindi / Urdu / Punjabi / English as a subject at secondary level.

Age Limit

Maximum age: 30 years as on 16 October 2025.

Age-relaxation as per govt rules for reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, PwBD etc.).

5. Exam / Selection Process & Patterned 

One Tier Written Examination (Technical / Teaching) to be conducted by DSSSB.

Mode: Online / Computer Based Test (CBT) (Questions are objective / MCQ)

Total Questions: 200 MCQs, total marks 200; time duration: 2 hours. 

There is negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer. DSSSB+1

Pay Level: Level 6, Group ‘B’ (General Central Service, Non-Ministerial, Non-Gazetted).
 
 Salary / Pay Scale: ₹ 35,400 to ₹ 1,12,400 per month.
