(A) Educational Qualification

You must have any ONE of the following:
Option 1
B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing council recognized institute or university.
Must be registered as a nurse and midwife with State/Indian Nursing Council.
Option 2
Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an INC-recognized institute.
Registered as nurse & midwife.
2 years of experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds after obtaining GNM.

9. Is NORCET a central government job?

Answer:
Yes. It is a Group B Central Government job. You will be posted at AIIMS or central hospitals like RML, LHMC, Safdarjung, etc.


10. Can GNM diploma holders apply for NORCET-9?

Answer:
Yes, GNM holders with 2 years of experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds are eligible.


11. Is there any bond or service period after selection?

Answer:
Some AIIMS institutes may have service bonds. Details are shared in appointment letters. Read the official notification carefully.


12. What is the validity of NORCET-9 score?

Answer:
The score is valid for one recruitment cycle only (till the next NORCET exam is conducted).


13. Can I apply for multiple AIIMS through one NORCET exam?

Answer:
Yes. NORCET creates a common merit list, and selection is based on your rank and preference during the counselling/allocation process.


14. Will there be counselling after the NORCET result?

Answer:
Yes. Candidates who clear the exam will be called for online seat allocation/counselling based on merit, preference, and category.
